Tripping

I leave one week from tomorrow to be gone almost a month. Three weeks in Europe. Then two days to recover in Dallas before the ACFW Writers Conference. Which means whatever I want to have at the conference needs to go out the door with me next Wednesday. Did you ever think about how much preparation is required to be away from home that long–not to mention trying to pack in one small, carry-on suitcase for travel to four different countries with a variety of weather conditions? Eight total flights, including in and out of London three times. That’s some major fun with security, gang.

Yep. Lots to take into consideration. That’s why I’m super busy watching videos like this one.

I want to invite them to my birthday party.

(Thanks, Linda, for the link.)

  1. Re: tripping, for sure

    Thanks, Linda. I hope so!

Wow, Mike. You’re a pal. Thanks to your advice everything is now under control. See you soon at ACFW. (Don’t forget your toothbrush!)

  2. I’m sure you’ll have some great stories to share when you get back. And lots of pictures! Security should be . . . interesting. I don’t envy you that part.

Jen benny-boo (Is that what you called me? I should go back and look. Sure beats what my brothers called me.)

  3. hi

Hi, you probably don’t remember me, but I believe we met either Luke’s freshmen or sophomore year. I was on his sister floor freshmen year (just ask Luke about the short Korean girl that he knows, he should be able to pinpoint me). But I just wanted to say that I love how you always comment encouraging notes on his and Katie’s journals. You seem like an incredible mom from the short glimpses that I see. I just wanted to let you know that :-).

  4. Re: hi

Hey, Shannee! Of course I remember you. Thanks for such a sweet remark. I was a little worried my comment to Katie might be too maternal to be appreciated. 😉 Glad to know it came across as encouraging.

    Thanks for stopping by. ♥

  5. Yes, it’s Jen-benny-boo. (Or “Jen-benny-boo-boo” by way of an endearment.)

I plan to take gazillions of pictures. We can have a slideshow party at ACFW. Unless, of course, I’m still stranded at security . . .
