If you liked, “Baby Got Book” . . .

One would think that, with actual, real, people-are-counting-on-me deadlines hanging over me, I’d be getting some work done. But no. I’ve been blog hopping.

Thanks to Carrie K. who commented on Katy R.’s blog, I consider it my delightful privilege to introduce you to Taylor the Latte Boy. (Yes, that’s a link. Click it. I promise it will make your day.)

  1. Unbelievably, someone actually sung this song to me in Hong Kong this past summer, and even more incredibly, her name is Kristin. Her boyfriend Jimmy wasn’t half so amused as the rest of us.

  4. Taylor, I think it’s pretty clear that Kristin needs to wake up and smell the coffee. I mean, the matching names is a sign almost as obvious as the triple-latte-means-he-loves-me-too one in the song. Poor Jimmy. But what can you do? 😉

It was perfect. The spotlight and candelabra. The singer’s facial expressions and dramatic gestures. The flash of light on Taylor’s tooth when he smiled. Such clever lyrics! Makes me want to hang out with the songwriter. I can’t do that, but hey, I can hang out with YOU! Even better. 🙂

    See you soon!

Won’t we have fun??? I’m hoping my mother behaves herself and doesn’t pull any stunts which would make me think I should cancel the conference. I sure haven’t got much to show for myself besides three solid chapters. This summer has been all old ladies, all the time, baby. I love the gals, though, and feel strongly that they need an advocate (that would be me) to navigate the hospital/nursing home murky waters.

I want to hang with YOU!!! And drink coffee and eat chocolate. Oh, yeah. Big fun!

  13. one of my high school kids this summer (i interned with my home church youth group) was named Taylor, and on our mission trip we got to sing him that song. It got stuck in all of our heads, so we started calling him that and it became kindof his trademark….it was really cute. i love that song, it’s so adorable.

  16. Hey, Katie! I’m glad you had a great trip. (I read about it on your blog.)

It is an adorable song, isn’t it? It’s still stuck in my head. I catch myself singing it several times a day.

Have a great semester! Make Luke behave. 🙂

Thanks for the comments on the video. We threw the candelabra and spotlight together at the last minute. I wanted it to be more dramatic with a baby grand and a big stage but we had to go with what we had. And you noticed the flash of light on Taylor’s smile! One of Kristen Chenoweth’s reps requested the video from me and promised to get her reaction. That ought to be interesting. Thanks again. Chris J. http://homepage.mac.com/fallingwalls/johnson.html
