“He who rules over men righteously,
Who rules in the fear of God,
Is as the light of the morning when the sun rises,
A morning without clouds,
When the tender grass springs out of the earth,
Through sunshine after rain.”
The words of a poet-shepherd-king from David’s last song, 2 Samuel 23:3b,4.

luke
No, but maybe I should.
Actually, part of verse 4 was in the Daily Light reading this morning, and it struck me as beautiful poetry, so I looked it up and read it in context.
Lovely day to you. Mom

I’ve always said, never trust a leader who doesn’t think he answers to someone higher up the line. This backs it up nicely.
Wonderful verse. Thanks for posting it.

You’re welcome!
Those words just sang their way straight to my soul this morning, so I thought I’d release the song into cyberville. Glad it reached your ears. EZ
Will do!
Thanks for the recommendation, sweetie pootkins.
Lovely rest of the day to you. M.
